Vactions Bible School

This picture was taken the last day of VBS. The kids had a blast. Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Heather come pretty much every summer and do VBS with our church. The theme this year was "Jungle Tales". You know I realized something this week! I have always been a creationist. But I never realized just how important it is to make sure that our young people know that it was GOD who made all things including them. Evolution is being taught all around us. Millions of years is what the kids hear all the time. That is a lie straight from the Devil himself! The world is actually only 6 thousand years young! We wonder why our kids act like animals. Maybe it is because they are being taught that's what they are or were.. For more info you can go to www.creationfamilyministries.org

Corby Johnson said...: Shelley, Awesome group picture. I am so glad that the kids have this opportunity to do this every year. I loved bible school when I was little and we lived in Antler, North Dakota. Those were wonderful memories and this will be a wonderful memory for your children.

Personal Testimony

I was doing "well" for the average joe. I had a husband, a home, two beautiful children, a dog, 2 cars. Something was missing. It was LOVE. Not just any love it was the LOVE of JESUS! It was 2 a.m. I was on the phone. I was telling my friend how the weekend, husband, children they were just not enough anymore. Something was missing, and she told me what it was. She shared Christ with me. How He died for me and my sins, and all I had to do was accept Him. How could I do that? I had done some things that I was not to proud of.. How could I ever be forgiven for them? Then she told me that He paid for them already and that it is a free gift, all I had to do was accept HIM. I could not come before God with anything, but the blood of Christ. That was the only thing that could make me whole! That night, I prayed, I accepted Christ as my personal Saviour.. You too, can do the same.
