Distraction

UPDATE
Just to let you all know, I found out last night that they are dropping the case against us. They did not have any evidence to go forward. Our family is very happy.. You should have seen how relieved the kids were! I will have a letter within a weeks time stating this. Thank you to all who supported us through this horrible time. Praise be to God!
We had a great time yesterday as a family. We went to Angie's in Logan for what is called the............ "KITCHEN SINK". It is basically a huge banana split with anything and everything on it. Yummy! Then we headed over to Grace Baptist Church for Pastor Appreciation Month. My Pastor preached a great message about enjoying your Christianity. God is good so enjoy it. It was nice to get our mind off of things. Somebody this week called and filed a false report against us to DCFS. So by law, they had to send a caseworker to our house to interview the kids.. What a horrible thing to do to a family. We just wanted to show the kids that we will be alright and that things could and would go back to normal.

Larsen Family Fundraiser

There is a young couple named Daryl and Ashley Larsen, they live in Perry. They just lost their baby to a rare lung disorder. How sad. They are now experiencing the beginnings of what will be a land slide of medical bills. In an effort to aide them, there will be a one day fundraiser at the Maddox Steak House. On November 5, you can call Maddox at 723-2916 and order the Turkey Steak dinner. (Mention the Larsen Family) You can choose the 2 or 4 family meal at the regular price. All proceeds will then be donated to the Larsen family. Do not forget to mention the Larsen family name when ordering. You can then pick up your meal at the take out window in the back of Maddox. It will be for lunch and dinner. Please spread the word. Feel free to copy and paste this post on your blog. So.... Maddox; November 5th; Lunch and Dinner; Turkey Steak 2-4 family meal; Mention the Larsen Family... Thank you.

Cereal

Malt-O-Meal had a sale on Saturday.. All bags of cereal $1..UNLIMITED! Wonderful. So me and Ryan got up early to go and stand in line. We arrived 30 minutes before it was to start. The line was already half a block long.. So we get in line and start filling out our order forms.. We were almost to the front of the line.. I mean .. 2 people were before us and they (Malt-O-Meal) decide to issue a limit on quantities.. Bummer..15 bags per person. Oh well, me and Ryan were still able to get 30 bags of cereal.. It took us 1 1/2 hours total. When we left.. The line was well over 2 to 3 blocks long. I praise God for the opportunity to get such a killer deal on cereal.

Hot Date!!

Tonight we are ALONE!! That is right, for the first time in a long time... we have NO KIDS! My lovely parents took them for the night. The Brasel's, (who were ever so kind.... Thank You!) took us out to a very yummy and nice dinner. We borrowed some clean flicked movies, and were on our way. I just want to say that Ryan is such a good husband. I thank God for him. I love you, Mr. Hansen!

She made home made lasagna for us.. I brought banana squash.. MMMM. Then we loaded up in their new 15 passenger van. Found a country road and lit fireworks. It was so fun..

You say Tomato.. I say Tomoto

Well, I really don't say tomoto. It just sounded good! We caught the news at my parents house last Friday night. The weather man said to expect a winter storm.. SO... we had to go out and uproot the garden. Jaden spent 2 hours Saturday morning picking all of this. I guess it is time to make salsa.

Fix It

I was peeling carrots into the sink for dinner. BIG mistake. Carrots can and will clog your garbage disposal. I had this happen several years ago. I thought that if I ran the disposal after a couple of carrots this would not happen again. Wrong! It clogged it up. Good thing Jaden is smart. Here he is showing me, that if we take off this pipe we can get to the clog. 10 minutes later and it was fixed... Thanks Jaden!

Creative

Jaden or should I say "Moth Man" was having a good time. He is wearing bug eyed goggles. His grandmother got them for his birthday. They just came the other day. They make you see the way a bug would see. What an imagination he has!

Seasons

This is Natalie, my little sister. She called me and asked if I would go and take some Fall pictures of her and her husband. I said absolutely! This is one of my favorite pictures of them. Scott and Natalie have been married for just over a year now. They live in Clinton, Utah. I still can not believe that my baby sister is married and all grown up. Her favorite time of the year is fall.

Bulletin Board

I made this for Jr. Church, we are memorizing Psalm chapter 1. This idea came from verse 3. We want to be like this tree. Planted in the perfect spot, bearing fruit when it is just the right time. We can be like this tree. Psalm one tells us how!

Psalm 1 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."
